MixBox brings the experience of cocktail-making into people’s homes, pairing surprising recipes and quality ingredients with everything needed to make them. But while cocktail culture can feel exciting and premium, mixology can also seem complicated or intimidating to the inexperienced. The challenge is to build a brand that makes premium feel approachable, turning cocktail-making into something anyone can pick up, enjoy, and share.A brand experience for Mixbox, designed to make premium cocktail culture more accessible, social, and fun to explore.
Strategy The idea was to shift Mixbox from a box of ingredients to the starting point of a night worth sharing. Instead of focusing only on the finished cocktail, the experience celebrates the making of it, the mixing, experimenting, mess and moments with friends. A premium feel is balanced with realness and ease, making the ideal night feel achievable rather than staged. Adding a recipe magazine to each box extends this experience, turning the process of discovering and making each cocktail into part of the ritual.
Visual Identity Mixbox needed an identity that could feel premium without feeling exclusive. The system combines an elegant typographic foundation with playful details, from a logomark that doubles as a top-down cocktail glass and decorative swirl, to expressive type combinations and bursts of colour. The result is a visual language that feels polished enough for cocktail culture, but relaxed enough to invite anyone in.
App The app follows the same visual language as the rest of the brand, carrying over the colours, typography and playful details. At the same time, I kept the interface intuitive, making sure the branding never got in the way of actually using the app.
